Did you know?

Julie Gagné
Ministère de l'Énergie et des Ressources naturelles

This Did you know gives you tip about using the Ministère de l’Énergie et des Ressources naturelles web applications and systems, such as the geological and mining map. You can use this free Web application to locate and view a wealth of geological and mining data for Québec (geological units, mineral deposits, diamond drilling, mines and projects, etc.) and link it to mining (mining operations, claims) and geographical (satellite images, hydrography, topography, etc.) information.

Did you know that you can define your own search territory when you use the interactive geology and mining map of Québec? Just click on the Customized Territory button above the map. Give your territory a name by typing it into the text box and clicking Save; for example, “my claim,” “Cygnus Lake,” “Lalonde Project,” etc. This customized territory allows you to conduct searches in other parts of SIGÉOM, such as the geology work contained in the Examine document collection. Use the Value button in the “Customized Territory” search criteria to select your personalized territory for a SIGÉOM query.

Go to the interactive map.
