Québec Exploration 2008

Québec Exploration is back in 2008 with new content that is sure to please everyone.

The sixth edition of the event will be held under the theme: “Strike it rich: Explore Québec!” from November 24 to 27, 2008, at the Château Frontenac. This year, Québec Exploration delegates will be able to take advantage of Québec's 400th anniversary celebrations.

Under the honorary chairmanship of Mr. André Gaumond, President and founder of Virginia Mines Inc., Québec Exploration will be presenting a technical program with something for everyone.

Some thirty technical sessions will address the following themes:

Internationally known keynote speakers will also be in attendance. They include Greg Stott, Ph. D., of the Ontario Geological Survey, who devoted his career to the study of Ontario’s Precambrian geology; Jeremy Richards of the University of Alberta, specialist in the genesis of epithermal and porphyry copper and gold deposits; Dan Jarvie, President of Worldwide Geochemistry of Texas, world expert on gas shales; and John A. Kaiser, financial analyst and prominent mining investment specialist.

More than 150 trade and scientific exhibitors are also expected.

New this year… a core shack on the event site will allow mineral exploration companies to display their drilling results.

Also on the program: workshops, interactive sessions, the Exploration/Investment Forum, a half-day open house for students and the general public, as well as social activities to round out the event.

More than 2,000 delegates are expected!
