Client services:
new structure, same services!

Pierre Verpaelst (Energy and Mines Sector, Géologie Québec directorate)
James Moorhead (Regional Operations Sector, Energy, Mines and Public Land-Use directorate of the Abitibi-Témiscamingue region)

In order to develop a closer relationship with regional clientele, the Secteur des opérations régionales (Regional Operations Sector (ROS)) has been set up at the Ministère des Ressources naturelles et de la Faune (MRNF). This reorganization also results in more integrated management of the MRNF’s various activities in the regions. Consequently, offices where mine service counters were located are now under the responsibility of the ROS, rather than the Secteur de l’énergie et des mines (Energy and Mines Sector).

Front-line services and customer support will continue to be provided by agents in the regional offices, as before. These services include:

Claim transactions
Requests for information related to the mine sector
The sale of the MRNF’s geoscience products

More complex requests requiring the intervention of a specialist (technician or professional) will be forwarded to the resource persons most qualified to answer them, whether they involve information about claims, SIGÉOM geoscience databases, geological knowledge, or exploration and mining activities.

The result: efficient, quality service

The MRNF wants its clients to continue to receive the same quality services as before. Corporate mine services will be available from the same regional offices. We can be reached at the following addresses:
