Young people from the Cree community to attend the education days
A group of 15 Cree students from Chisasibi, near James Bay, will attend one of the education days at Québec Mines + Énergie.
Like 2,000 students from schools in the Capitale-Nationale and Chaudière-Appalaches regions, the Cree students will have an opportunity to take part in the activities organized for the education days. The program will include a visit to a geological mapping camp, a 3D simulation of a hydroelectric dam, and almost 30 interactive booths. The trip will also give the students a chance to visit other tourist attractions in Québec City.
The Cree students’ trip has been made possible by financial assistance received from Gold Corp, Stornoway, the Québec Mining Association and the Cree Mineral Exploration Board.
