Isabelle Tremblay-Brosseau, Victor Béliveau

This session is offered in French only.

The critical and strategic minerals (CSM) R&D and innovation ecosystem is fragmented. Actors working in CSM-specific value chains are aware of this issue and wish to address it by focusing on collaborative business models and networks. Several measures favourable to the deployment of R&D and innovation are already being put forward, but there is still a long way to go before we can count on an optimal model for the development of new technologies. Of paramount economic importance, R&D and innovation in the CSM sectors allow countries to better position themselves and seize opportunities in a highly competitive global market.

During this panel, Québec and French experts will discuss their respective R&D and innovation initiatives for the benefit of CSM value chains. This session will therefore give the panellists the opportunity to discuss how to improve the network between stakeholders from é and France.
