This session is offered in French only.

Faced with the challenges posed by the energy transition, many states are seeking to diversify their supply of critical and strategic minerals (CSM) in order to secure key sectors. As part of this panel, Québec and France will present their respective issues related to the extraction and supply of CSM, the development of key sectors and investment opportunities. The current context lays the foundations for a dialogue and mineral diplomacy that promotes a France-Québec collaboration on CSM.

In addition, this session will allow panellists from Québec and France to present the main lines of their respective plans, including Québec’s Plan for the Valorization of Critical and Strategic Minerals (PQVMCS) 2020-2025 and the Québec Battery Development Strategy, as well as the France 2030 investment plan.
