Jean-Nicolas Beaudry

With over twenty years’ experience in the field of advanced materials, Jean-Nicolas Beaudry has held a variety of scientific, operational and commercial positions at 5N Plus. As Sales Director – Specialized semiconductors, he oversees procurement of critical minerals and sales of semiconductor products for medical imaging, security and renewable energies.

Mr. Beaudry has chaired the steering committee of Quebec’s scientific research network specific to critical and strategic minerals (CSM) since its creation in 2023. He is also a member of the Executive Board of the Brussels-based International Thin-Film Solar Industry Association (PVthin), and sits on the Industry Advisory Council of the U.S. Manufacturing of Advanced Cadmium Telluride Photovoltaics (US-MAC) Consortium. He also served from 2010 to 2020 on the Industry Advisory Board of the Center for Next Generation Photovoltaics, sponsored by the US National Science Foundation (NSF).

A member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (materials engineering, École Polytechnique de Montréal), he also holds a PhD in metallurgical engineering from the same institution, and has completed the Executive MBA program offered jointly by McGill University and HEC-Montréal.
