Université Laval

Bertrand Rottier has been a professor at Université Laval since 2019. He holds a geological engineering degree, a M.Sc. in science from Institut polytechnique LaSalle in France (2012) and a Ph.D. from the Université de Genève in Switzerland (2017). His research focuses on the physico-chemical factors controlling the fertility of magmatic-hydrothermal systems in order to improve the efficiency of exploration for deposits of Cu-Au porphyries, epithermal base and precious metals and REE. He is also involved in the development of new fertility and vectoring tools based on mineral chemistry for different types of deposits.
