Acceptable Mean for Filing an Application for a Renewal of a claim

As of April 1st 2011, the only way to submit an application for a renewal of claim is through the GESTIM Plus website.

Directive

This directive will be in effect as of April 1st 2011. It renders null and void all previous directives on the same topic.

The directive has been adopted under the provisions of sections 61 and 207 of the Mining Act (R.S.Q., c. M-13.1).

Acceptable Mean for Filing a notice of Staking

As of April 1st 2011, the only way to submit a notice of staking is through the GESTIM Plus website. 

Directive

This directive will be in effect as of April 1st 2011. It renders null and void all previous directives on the same topic.

The directive has been adopted under the provisions of sections 46 of the Mining Act (R.S.Q., c. M-13.1).

The accepted mean to submit a notice of staking shall be through:

Filing of surface mineral substance extraction and alienation reports

Monthly, quarterly and annual surface mineral substance extraction and alienation reports must be produced and filed via GESTIM. Users must be preferred members of GESTIM (membership takes effect between five and ten days after application.)

N. B. Holders of sand and gravel extraction titles whose sites are located on lands in the domain of the State in administrative regions that have signed a sand and gravel extraction management delegation agreement  are not bound by this procedure.

Documents provided for filing a notice of staking

As of April 1st 2011, the documents provided with the notice of staking shall be provided in accordance with the following directive.

The directive has been adopted under the provisions of section 48 of the Mining Act (R.S.Q., c. M-13.1).

A copy of the official map of mining titles, a sketch signed by the staker, statements signed by the applicant and, if so, the application for the revocation of a claim, must be filed within the 20 days following the staking date.

Methods of Payment Accepted for Royalty of Extracted Surface Mineral Substances

The following methods of payment are accepted:

  • Credit cards
  • Stakeholder balances (for GESTIM preferred members)*.

*Delegation of management required to use account of Company or third party.
